Finally, I am back in my craft room, at least temporarily, before the workers come back Monday to finish up. I was getting a little concerned that I wasn't going to be able to find everything for my Stamp Club tonight, but everything worked out OK. Whew!
I'm going to be letting my Club members try out the cool Owl Punch tonight—they'll make their own owl to take home and embellish their own project. In experimenting with some different ways to use him (or her, depending on your project), I've decided that I'm smitten with this little guy (or girl)!
Isn't he the most?! I think I'll call him Jasper. I can almost hear him "who, whoo, whooooing" outside my window! The bow sweetens him up a bit, but you could create a more menacing and eerie night scene, if you want.
Card Details: The Night of Navy sky is embossed with a plate from the Textures Plates Kit #4. This is the same plate I would use to create a tree bark texture, which coincidentally, works VERY well in combination with the Owl Punch! TIP: Remember to lightly mist your card stock with water before running it through the Big Shot to achieve the deepest impressions. The Rhinestone Jewels made wonderful, twinkling stars!
Jasper is sitting on a branch, created with the Bird Punch, just above the rooftops. My Rich Razzleberry roof has layers of Tasteful Trim large scallops to look like shingles. This extended die comes with four different, extra large borders—LOVE it! It's so versatile!
Do you have the Owl Punch, yet? If so, I'd love to see what you do with it. If you don't have it yet, whooooo am I to judge? But, be warned, I'll be trying to persuade you in upcoming posts. I know you'll end up adopting your very own!
More owl-tastic ideas to come!
