I've got one more project from our Demo Shoebox Swap to show you! It's a cute gift idea for the holidays! Check it out!
It's a handy 3x5" Post-It note holder with a mini pen created by Carmen DeBruce! How cute!
Carmen modified a 3x3" Post-It Pad Holder made by Dee Slater and shown on Create! With Dee. You can watch Dee's video for the complete instructions, but I've included Carmen's adjusted measurements for a larger, 3x5" pad below.
3x5" Post-It Pad Measurements:
- Card stock measures 7-3/8" x 5-1/4"
- Score across long side at 3-1/8", 3-1/2", and 3-7/8"
- Bottom Wild Wasabi card stock layer on front is 2-7/8" x 5-1/8"
- Very Vanilla layer is 2-3/4" x 5"
- Designer paper sections are each 1-1/4" x 2-1/4"
Carmen's project uses Cherry Cobbler card stock, with Wild Wasabi and Very Vanilla layers. I LOVE the new holiday Designer Paper she used called Be of Good Cheer!
The top is decorated with the Four Seasons Hostess Set featuring whimsical bird images for each season. The wintery snowflake image is stamped in Cherry Cobbler then punched with the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. It's stamped again in Wild Wasabi and the center bird is punched out with the 1" Circle Punch and popped up with Dimensionals.
Super adorable!!! I'll definitely be trying this project out at one of my upcoming events!
The pens are "Gel Mini" black pens from Staples. However, right now I only see them in assorted colors. Check your local store.
Here's what it looks like when it's open. It's very compact, so it would fit easily into a purse, glove box, diaper bag, or duffel bag. Cute notes on-the-go!
Thanks for sharing your fun project, Carmen!
Angie

I love this!!So what do you put inside for post it notes? Do they make them 3x5?

Nancy, Yes, they do make 3x6" sticky notes. Or, you can make the 3x3" project that Dee Slater created...I've linked to that above. Any office supply store should carry them.
